Tesla Technology Experimenter's Kit:(Build your own Multi-Wave Oscillator)

This project describes building your own Tesla Technology Experimenter's Kit! The heart of the Experimenter's kit features the fascinating high voltage liquid filled Tesla Coil! Therefore, the purpose of this building project could be to power the Lakhovsky Multi-Wave Oscillator as an alternative healing or rejuvenation machine; or this Tesla Coil power supply may be used to investigate the development of "Free Energy" or "Radiant Energy" or "Anti-Gravity". In other words, if we want a little action on UFOs , then the answer is to get busy and build some ourselves!  And if you want some progress in the Alternative Medical field, then the answer may be to take action yourself and start building this technology in a hundred or a thousand different home workshops! The "Big Pharmaceutical Companies" or the "Big (Liberal) Government Bureaucrats"  can shut down one lone pioneer, but will not be able to stop beaucoup home experimenters from developing this radical technology on a grass roots level!

Part One

The Case: An expensive, critical part of your Tesla Technology Experimenter's Kit must be the case or housing for the whole project. Several options to consider for containing the high voltage Tesla Coil:

A briefcase works well, especially a big deep simple one. Choose one with 4" to 5" inches of internal height. Try to avoid a briefcase with beaucoup extra fancy pockets and luxury features such as fold-out writing pads, notebook computer holders, cell phone compartments and the like. Try to avoid any "expandable" feature that allows the case to change size as you put more things into it. What we want in a case remains something simple that allows us to strip it down clean, devoid of any internal padding, dividers or gimcracks.
There are expensive leather briefcases out in the marketplace which eminently suit our purposes of housing a Tesla Coil High Voltage Power Supply. Expect to pay several hundreds of American dollars for one of these. For a more common vinyl covered briefcase made from pressed fibreboard, expect to pay in the $40- to 80- range.

The first step in preparing the briefcase: remove everything inside it; take out or cut out all the pockets, get rid of the document holders, delete the extra padding, remove any metal hardware or buckles or snaps or whatever. Some metal will be unavoidably left in; this will be the hinges, the handle and lock mechanisms. Since we are dealing with high voltage, we will avoid superfluous metal which tends to attract sparks!

In our quest for a nice affordable briefcase, I have noticed our old fashioned briefcase has metamorphize into the "soft" cases for today's home/office multi-use function.  More like a backpack or a book bag than a regulation gray flannel suit businessman's briefcase, the new style of soft case sags limp and too flaccid for our robust purpose of containing the revolutionary developments of TeslaTechnology!

A photo or a pistol case works better than a briefcase!  Why? because a pistol case expects rugged use and consists of some form of Neoprene plastic, the best material to resist oils, ozone and the rigors of being stuffed with a high voltage Tesla Coil Power Supply. Choose a pistol case in the double (two pistol) size and choose a case made entirely from some form of typically black Neoprene or ABS plastic. Avoid any extra metal fasteners or buckles because the high voltage will be attracted to the metal.
In fabricating our Multi-Wave Oscillator power supply, we will be drilling holes in the case. Hard Neoprene plastic machines and works well and resists the corrosive effects of the high voltage environment inside the case. Begin preparing the case by removing all of the foam padding and remove any residual glue used to hold in the padding. We want the case completely clean and empty.  Now a word about glue: the only drawback to using a pistol case will be the frustration of not getting common glues to stick to the Neoprene material. I have found that Crazy Glue, Super Glue and 100% Silicone caulk fare poorly to attach components inside the case. Somewhat better are the family of construction adhesives including products known as "Marine Goop", "Liquid Nails" and "Storm Shield". THERMAL GLUE FROM A HEAT GUN IS THE VERY BEST ADHESIVE FOR DEALING WITH BLACK NEOPRENE or ABS plastic!.

I make straps from clear vinyl tubing as an answer to the glue problem. Strap in the various heavy components (12 volt power supply, Auto Coil, Capacitor Assemblies) using clear vinyl tubing secured by small flat headed machine screws.  The flat side of the machine screws protrude not too far on the outside of the case so as not to scratch the table the units set upon. To secure the clear vinyl tubing on the inside of the case, use nuts, washers and lock washers. For a sharper looking project, use brass machine screws and hardware. To improve the appearance of the project, maintain a symmetrical pattern of holes and hardware that show on the outside of the case.

100% clear Silicone caulk remains a favorite adhesive for building our own High Voltage Multi-Wave Oscillator Tesla Coil Power Supply, especially when used in conjunction with clear vinyl tubing to both glue and strap down various components.  Silicone caulk is a forgiving material; it resists high voltage; it can be molded with the fingers (especially if moistened with saliva… nice mustard taste) and it allows the unit to be taken apart easily when and if the "troubleshooting" phase becomes necessary! When buying 100% clear Silicone caulk for use in your 10 oz. caulk gun, try to get the kind with a re-sealable cap! For some reason, DAP, the leader in caulk products, insists on packaging various caulk products without any sort of re-sealable cap (ugh!) The small tubes of 100% Silicone caulk come with a re-sealable cap, but we will want to use our Silicone in a standard 10 oz. caulk gun. I have made many a temporary cap from plain duct tape fitted over the end of the partially used tube of 100% clear Silicone.  Don't use any kind of Silicone caulk except 100% clear because we are dealing with high voltage and any adulteration of the formula weakens its effectiveness. (RED DEVIL SILICONE IS CONSIDERED TO BE BEST)

Basic schematic for the 555 timer/Mosfet and first stage high voltage. This allows for "tuning" the primary high voltage: Very important feature because no Neon Sign Transformer needed. And the harmful 60 Hz from the ac power grid (Nuclear) does not contaminate the Tesla Coil output!
